I grew up in Winnipeg, Manitoba. After high school, I attended the University of Manitoba and obtained my Bachelor of Science Degree (B.Sc.). I volunteered at Meals on Wheels and the Health Sciences Centre in the palliative care unit during my spare time.

I attended the University of Alberta wherein I obtained my Bachelor of Law (LLB.) degree. During my time there, I volunteered with Student Legal Services (SLS) and the law show.
​
I currently operate a law firm near the Ice District of Edmonton, Alberta. There is free parking in the back of the building, and it is within walking distance to the Rogers Place LRT Station.
